FACEBOOK STOPS WORK OF THOUSANDS OF ADDITIONS

Facebook has suspended thousands of applications as part of a data leak investigation that began after a data scandal of more than 87 million users for Cambridge Analytica.

The social network said they suspended applications temporarily, which does not mean that these applications were able to access personal data. Some app developers have filed lawsuits. Among them are Ukrainians. Facebook claims that the developers were allegedly stealing personal information from users through advertising and online tests.

The South Korean data analytics firm Rankwave, Hong Kong-based LionMobi and Singapore-based JediMob have also been blocked. Facebook has found that they are involved in infecting users’ phones with malware.
