GOOGLE WILL PAY FRANCE ABOUT 1 BILLION EURO
Google has agreed to a four-year tax evasion investigation in France.
Under the agreement with the French prosecutor’s office, Google will pay a fine of € 500 million, plus € 465 million in additional taxes. Thus, the total settlement amount reaches almost € 1 billion.
“This agreement will settle all past disputes once and for all,” Google’s lawyer Antonen Levy told a court hearing in Paris.
“We have reconciled all the tax and related issues that have been going on in France for many years,” Google added.
