Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano played the first DJ set in space on the International Space Station.

It was a performance at the BigCityBeats World Club Dome Cruise Edition Electronic Music Festival right from the Columbus module, broadcast on a cruise ship in Ibiza.

The curators of the project from the European Space Agency called the 20-minute set from the ISS board a great opportunity to make space closer to ordinary people. Luca Parmitano, 42, has been at the ISS since July 21, 2019, arriving there on board the Soyuz MS-13.
