Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan calls on PJSC “Ukrposhta” to take advantage of new opportunities for expansion of financial services provided by the National Bank – in particular, to begin work with international payment systems.

“Now before” Ukrposhta “there is a task – to give a license and import modern payment systems, for example, PayPal. Thus, financial services, including modern ones, will become accessible to more people “, – said Omelyan.

In turn, executive director of “Ukrposhta” Igor Smilyansky noted that this decision of the National Bank – the first step towards a global solution to the issues of the development of financial services company and an example of how you can work with the financial regulator, even having fundamentally different points of view on a number of other points.

As it became known, the NBU allowed national postal operators (this status now only has the state “Ukrposhta”) to provide a financial service for the transfer of funds and to participate in domestic and international payment systems, subject to obtaining a license of the NBU for the transfer of funds in the national currency without opening accounts.
