Facebook has released a Sound Collection video editing tool that lets you apply sound effects to the video. The service can be used when uploading videos to Facebook or Instagram.

According to Facebook representatives, the Sound Collection library contains thousands of sound effects and tracks, including vocal and instrumental tracks in genres like hip-hop, jazz, country, and so on. When creating a video, users can search for relevant tracks in the directory, filter the results by genre, duration of the song, and other parameters.

Facebook has promised that the Sound Collection will be available to users around the world in the coming days.

Rights to the audio library belong to Facebook, said in a social network message. This means they can be used in Facebook and Instagram videos, without worrying about a possible copyright infringement – the company has agreed with the labels and composers.
