VIDEO GAME EQUALIZED TO MEDICINE FOR FIRST TIME IN USA

The video game EndeavorRX by developer Akili Interactive has received official approval from the USA Food and Drug Administration.

EndeavorRX can now be prescribed as a medication for children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD). The effectiveness of the game in the treatment of SPAU was confirmed by clinical studies involving more than 600 children aged 8-12 years, which lasted seven years. Studies have confirmed that at least a third of children after playing EndeavorRX “did not show a measurable attention deficit disorder.”

EndeavorRX is a three-dimensional platformer for iPad and iPhone, where the player needs to move through the levels and collect items. The FDA notes that playing EndeavorRX 25 minutes a day five times a week for a month helps treat inactivity and attention deficit disorder.
