SUPER MARIO GAME CARTRIDGE SOLD FOR 114 THOUSAND DOLLARS
An unknown buyer bought a cartridge with the game Super Mario Bros. at the Heritage auction in Dallas.
This is a cartridge for the Nintendo Entertainment System retro console. Thus broke the record of Super Mario Bros. last year, when another cartridge of the same game was sold at auction for $ 100,150.
The lot was part of a collection of video games from the 1980s and 1990s, which grossed more than $ 700,000 at auction. In particular, Mike Tyson’s 1987 game Punch-Out was sold for $ 50,400!
