HYPERLOOP INSTALLED A NEW RECORD – 463 KM / YEAR
The Hyperloop Vacuum Traction Capsule, developed by students at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), during the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod competition, set a new speed record of 463 km / h.
This is 6 km / h more than the previous maximum capsule speed, but the desired goal at 1200 km / h is still far away. Ilona Mask’s idea about vacuum trains, announced by him in 2012, has captured many entrepreneurs, but the final confirmation of the effectiveness and realization of this concept has still not been presented.
In addition to companies – such as HTT and Hyperloop One – the development prototype capsules in reduced form engaged students of technical universities. Annually, they present their work at the Hyperloop Pod Competition, sponsored by the SpaceX Aerospace Company. Develop a record speed thanks to the student project.
