The automaker Honda started a new project in the field of “smart” electronics and artificial intelligence, this project is implemented in cooperation with the Japanese telecommunications company SoftBank. This is the creating a special assistant for smart cars, which by means of of microphones, cameras and various sensors collect information about the acts and condition of the driver. Based on these data and also indications of onboard assistant could help in difficult situations, give advice and even support meaningful conversation. The system helps the driver to park, tells where to go, helps pass the time on long trips and more.
For realization of project, the company will form a new research lab in Tokyo, which experts will lead the development of technologies for smart cars. Terms implementing intelligent assistant is not announced.
