Facebook Company plans to release its own cryptocurrency Libra in 2020 year.

Transactions using Libra can be done using the services of Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, as well as the special application being developed at the moment.

According to representatives of the company, to make the transfer of the digital currency will be as simple as “send a text message to the phone.”

According to Facebook, the functioning of the new currency will be based on the technology blockchain – a decentralized database, storage devices that are not connected to the general server.
