CREATED FABRIC THAT CHANGES ITS SHAPE
Scientists from Harvard have created a fabric that changes its shape.
The new robotic fabric is called Smart Thermally Actuating Textiles (STATs). It consists of airtight bags filled with Novec 7000 liquid. When heated, this liquid evaporates, its volume can increase a hundredfold. This changes the shape of the fabric.
To return it to its original state, you need to cool the liquid. Silver threads are also woven into the material, which serve as heating elements. They allow you to change the temperature and shape of the fabric.
The fabric can be used in bandages and bandages, in pillows and for normal wear.
