Apple has decided to hold a Worldwide Developers Conference online because of a coronavirus outbreak.

“The current health situation calls for a new format for WWDC 2020,” Apple reports. Usually a conference is used to announce new company products and software updates.

Apple has not yet officially announced the date for the conference, but has announced that it will be held in a “brand new online format”. Event details should be announced shortly.

In addition, the company will allocate $ 1 million to a conference organizer in San Jose, California to offset the cost of the new event format.
