REEBOK MAKES CROPS FROM PLANT MATERIALS

Reebok has begun selling sneakers, which are made entirely of plant materials. Sneakers are presented within the framework of the Cotton + Corn collection.

The upper part of the footwear is made of 100% cotton, and the sole of a special material based on polyurethane, based on corn. The soles of sneakers are made of castor beans. The material was handled by DuPont Tate in collaboration with Lyle Bio Products.

Representatives of Reebok said that these shoes are made up of 75% materials of biological origin, certified by the US Department of Agriculture. Also, in this series of shoes, synthetic dyes are not used.

Reebok sneakers from plant materials have already been put up for sale at a price of $ 95 per pair.
