88 (1)

Ireland faces a fine of representatives of the European Union for nestyahnennya with Apple’s 13 billion euros of tax payments.

Apple had to pay the money on January 3, but the Irish government did not agree with the EU decision and appealed to the court, stating that the country does not need the company’s money.

If Ireland does not take action and the court finds this violation, then the country will receive a fine from the European Commission for non-compliance with the rules of tax practice of the European Union and failure to comply with the regulator’s requirements for tax penalties.

Last year, the European Commission demanded that Apple pay Ireland 13 billion euros. According to the EC, Ireland provided Apple with preferential terms of payment of taxes, which made the corporation save for a long time on tax payments.
